The Seven Wonders Of The World (Well two at least)

So it's always been a dream of mine to be able to see all seven of The Seven Wonders of the World. While I was in Zimbabwe this summer, we got to go to Victoria Falls. It was by far the most beautiful place I have EVER been.

This is me and my momma at Victoria Falls. The mist from the Falls was so powerful and overwhelming, that they gave you rain gear. We still came out soaking wet :)

This is just a shot of part of the Falls. There is ALWAYS a rainbow :D

The Chichen Itza Pyramid in Mexico is one of the seven wonders I'd love to see.

(I didn't take this picture! lol) The Chichen Itza Pyramid is a large pre-Columbian archaeological site built by the Maya civilization located in the northern center of the Yucatán Peninsula, in the Yucatán state, present-day Mexico. Chichen Itza was a major focal point in the northern Maya lowlands from the Late Classic through the Terminal Classic and into the early portion of the Early Postclassic period.

Espero a un cierto día consigo viajar y ver el resto de las siete maravillas del mundo.

Rainy Day :)

So rainy days like today make me think of a video my older brother showed me when i was maybe eleven or twelve and it just cracked me up. It's from Saturday Night Live and it is talking about the El Nino.

El Nino is a quasi-periodic climate pattern that occurs across the tropical Pacific Ocean on average every five years, but over a period which varies from three to seven years.

So in english, it is a huge storm front that comes every five years and brings LOTS of rain.

HERE IS THE VIDEO!! :D

Hot Air

Balloons that is! While I was driving to work this morning, I got to see a hot air balloon!!!

Hot Air Balloon shows are very popular in Mexico. The cities with lots of tourists have the option to go ride around the city in a hot air balloon to see everything.

Pienso que sería diversión a montar en un globo del aire caliente. :)

Halloween Preparations.

It's getting close to that time again! lol Halloween is just around the corner. But did you know that Halloween originated from Mexico's Day of the Dead? It totally did! lol I think that's pretty cool.

BUTTTTTTTT anywayssss!!

To get ready for Halloween this year, me and my friend painted pumpkins!

This is Hippie Pumpkin. (still in the process of being created.)

And this is Antoine Dodson. lol My best friend is OBSESSED with the song that AutoTune in the News  made.

If you haven't seen the video click here.

¡Recomiendo altamente el mirar para arriba de la cantidad de noticias también! :)

OCTOBER!

Today is the first day of my favorite month! I just love love love! October. :) Well today after I got off work I was driving down Russell Long and there was a HUGE line of Model T cars, and it got me wondering what was going on. sooooo I went to my trusted google and found out that on October 1, 1908, the first Model T Ford was put on the market. That's so cool! I wish I could have gotten a picture of all the cars, but I didn't have time to get my camera out. :(

¡Tenga un gran fin de semana!

Awesome Week

Have you ever had one of those weeks where everything seems to be going right? That even though you have all these things going on, you're in a great mood the whole time? That's how my week has been, and I LOVE IT! lol

These are some of the things that have happened this week:

1. I found a house with a huge backyard that is in our price range. (i've been looking for a new place to live for a few months now)

I'm praying for everything to work out because this house would be perfect for Toni.

2. I got my baby girl back from my parents. (She was visiting her best friend Ruth lol)

Ruth is the golden retriever and the lab is my baby, Toni. Her real name is Lady Antoinette.
Antoinette is a Latin derived name meaning, Beyond Praise.

3. I reconnected with an old friend.

This is obviously not a recent picture lol I don't have black hair anymore, but this is Nick, He's the friend I reconnected with!

4. After listening to the Bob and Tom Show almost every morning for a year, I finally heard Yeah Toast!

Click here to listen to Yeah Toast! if you've never heard it, I strongly recommend it :)

I hope everyone's week turns out how they want it! ¡Tenga un gran día!

Yum Yum!

Sooo, I'm going home tomorrow to eat some home cooked food. :) Now although there is no Spanish culture in my bloodlines, my mom LOVES to cook Mexican food. So when I go home tomorrow morning, I'll come home to Green Chili Chicken Enchiladas. (one of my favorites!!!)

No puedo esperar para ir a comer y pasar tiempo con mi familia!

Here's a link to a great Green Chili Chicken Enchilada recipe!

Cuando Me Enamoro

Cuando Me Enamoro is the number one hit song this week on the Top Latin Songs Chart.

Cuando me enamoro
A veces desespero cuando me enamoro
Cuando menos me lo espero me enamoro
Se detiene el tiempo
Me viene el alma al cuerpo
Sonrio, cuando me enamoro

These lyrics are very meaningful to me. If you've ever fallen in love, then you know that it always happens when you least expect it, time stops when you are with the one you love, and that you are always smiling.

Espero que tengas un gran fin de semana! Recuerde que la risa es la mejor medicina de la vida.
